Incredibly strong. Ideal for pond aeration, circulation and destratifying applications. Unlike air stones these diffusers are easy to clean, a quick wipedown with a rag or a bath in muriatic acid every fgew years is enough to refresh these versatile air diffusers.
Available in a 6" and a 12" diffuser tube, both sizes have a 1/2" MPT.
In testing they produce a slightly larger air bubble than air stones which translates into less oxygen transfer into the water, so for fish holding tanks, raceways, fish production ponds, etc. we recommend staying with the air stones below, but for general aeration where the size of the bubble is not such a concernc these are great diffusers.
Recommended Airflow
- 6" diffuser: recommended airflow is 0.4 CFM and the maximum is 1.7 CFM per 6" diffuser.
- 12" diffuser: recommended airflow is 0.9 CFM and the maximum is 3.5 CFM per 12" diffuser.
Excellent for ponds and water gardens since they actually produce more circulation and water movement due to the larger bubble sizes.
Diffusers are equipped with a 1/2" MPT.
