Hello,
The dust and mud and particles that were on the rocks will be suspended in the pond water for a while but should eventually settle out with time. It is always a good idea to rinse off any rocks that are being put into a pond to remove any dust and material on the rocks that can cloud the water.
If you have a mechanical type of filter in the pond as well it will speed up the removal of the sediments and you will likely need to do several cleanings of the pond filter as it will start to fill up quickly with the sediments and mud.
There is a pond water clarity additive you could add. The liquid flocculant is added at a rate of one ounce per 1000 gallons and it binds the particles together so they quickly sink and clear the water.
